The Value Of Having The Correct Type Of Graphics On Your Site
Hello once again you good web folk of the internet I hope all is going well for you on this Friday. Let me start off this post by saying that over my many years of blogging now I have made many probably way too many graphical changes to these blogs over the years. In fact when I go back and look at the archives now and see the many empty months of just a few posts written here and there I know for a fact it was because I was caught up in changing the graphical layout of this blog network.
I think part of my issue with always feeling the need to change the graphics, themes, layouts, colors or typography of these blogs is partially due to the fact that I am a guy and we all know that guys are visual creatures. The other reason why I know I get sucked into playing with all the web graphics side of things is because I find it to be allot of fun for some reason. After all everything I know about web design is self taught through trial and error on these pages over all these years so I guess you could just attribute it to this being my lifelong dream project.
Anyway the reason why I started going off on this little rant was because of this interesting article about the difference between pixel and vector based graphics. Your welcome for the link by the way all you good web folk that just clicked on it
It really was a fact filled post and explained the different uses for vector and pixel graphics although I have to admit that the second comment on that post is really what got me to thinking about writing here. The commenter noted that they rarely work with vector images and when I stopped to think about it I would have to agree with him. As a matter of fact it made me wonder if vector based graphics are even still relevant now a days?
I mean all the cameras, videos, games and TVs are all about how many more pixels they can squeeze into your graphic media now a days. I guess what I was wondering is whether or not all you good web folk that are genuinely interested in this type of graphic art think if vector based graphics are still useful or is the pixel the king of the graphics hill now? Leave your interesting responses in the comments section down below.
Kudos to you peruser ![]()
